PPB Chief Accidentally Shot Friend During Hunting Trip

(Portland, OR)  --  The Portland Police Bureau reports Chief Larry O'Dea says O'Dea was hunting in Harney County on April 11th when his gun went off, wounding the 54-year-old man in the back.  The man was treated at a hospital and released.  KOIN-TV reports O'Dea reported the incident to the sheriff's office, Mayor Charlie Hales, and the Portland Police Bureau's Professional Standards Division Captain.
