General Mills Flour Recall Tied To Flour Recall

(Olympia, WA)  --  State health officials say two cases of E. coli in Eastern Washington are tied to a recall by General Mills of about ten-million pounds of flour.  The Washington State Department of Health says one person in Grant County and one in Spokane County are among people in 20 states who became sickened with E. coli.  General Mills says half of those who became ill reported eating foods homemade with flour, with some of them possibly eating raw dough or batter.  The recall includes several varieties of Gold Medal, Wondra, and Signature Kitchens flour sold at Safeway, Albertsons and other stores across the country.
