Murray Makes Strong Showing In U.S. Senate Race

(Olympia, WA)  --  Democratic incumbent Patty Murray is making a strong bid to hold her Washington U.S. Senate seat.  She garnered 53 percent of the vote in initial primary returns, while Republican Chris Vance came in second with 28 percent.  Murray and Vance will likely meet in the November general election.  The latest federal reports show Murray leads Vance in campaign funding, with more than eleven-million dollars to Vance's 293-thousand.
