(Seattle, WA)  --  Fred Meyer and QFC stores are looking to hire up to 800 employees in Western Washington.  Those wishing to apply for openings in a variety of departments are urged to log on to jobs.fredmeyer.com or jobs.qfc.com, and return to a store tomorrow between three and eight p.m.  A Kroger Company spokesman tells the "Bellingham Herald" the job event is part of a nationwide effort to hire new workers.  Kroger held a similar event in May and hired more than eleven-thousand people across the country.
