(Undated) -- A new WalletHub.com survey shows Oregon is in the top tier of states that have the strictest laws against driving under the influence. The study shows tougher DUI penalties have helped lead to a huge drop in drunk-driving fatalities nationwide since 1982. Oregon is ranked 17th overall for tough DUI laws, 17th for prevention, and 22nd in the category of criminal penalties. Arizona is ranked first overall, and Washington ranks 14th.
