GOP: Inslee Campaign Violated Federal Campaign Laws

(Olympia, WA)  --  Washington state Republicans are claiming that Governor Jay Inslee violated federal election law with one of his campaign ads.  The ad shows Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, and says Trump and GOP candidate for governor Bill Bryant are both "wrong" for the state.  State GOP Chairman Susan Hutchison tells the "Spokesman-Review" the party has filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission because of a law that restricts how federal candidates can be used in paid ads for state candidates.  An Inslee spokesman says the ad, which ran before the August 2nd primary election, was legal.
