(Chicago, IL) -- Boeing and Airbus will be allowed to sell airliners to Iran for the first time in decades. Boeing has been given the go-ahead by the federal government to sell more than 100 aircraft to Iran, and Airbus will be able to sell 17 planes. CNN reports the Treasury Department's decision means Boeing will be allowed to deliver 80 jetliners that Iran agreed to buy in June. The license also lets Boeing help Iran Air find 29 aircraft from leasing companies.
