(Portland, OR)  --  A new statewide opinion poll shows slightly more than half of Oregonians questioned favor eliminating a ban on rent control.  The DHM Research survey shows 52 percent of participants support getting rid of the ban.  The "Portland Tribune" reports most of those favoring repeal are located in the Portland area.  State House Speaker Tina Kotek had said she'll ask the lawmakers next year to repeal that statewide ban on rent control.
