Feds Give $6.9 Million To Washington Charter Schools

(Olympia, WA)  --  Washington's charter schools will be getting an infusion of federal money.  The three-year, six-point-nine-million-dollar grant will come from the U.S. Department of Education.  Washington State Charter Schools Association CEO Tom Franta tells the "Spokesman-Review" the money will help the state's eight charter schools buy needed supplies, start new schools, and increase the classroom capacity of existing schools.
