Portland Council Meeting Postponed Because Of Protests

(Portland, OR)  --  A Portland City Council meeting slated for yesterday will instead be held today.  Disruptions caused by protesters prompted Mayor Charlie Hales to postpone yesterday's meeting.  Don't Shoot PDX and Black Lives Matter activists were to testify before the Council and ask them to delay approval of a new collective-bargaining agreement with the police union.  Police arrested two protesters for disrupting yesterday's Council meeting.
