Man Accused Of Carrying 300 Pounds Of Pot In U-Haul

(Klamath, OR)  --  A Georgia man is in the Klamath County Jail after being accused of trying to leave Oregon with nearly 300 pounds of marijuana.  Oregon State Police say 25-year-old Kim Mason was pulled over Saturday morning in a U-Haul truck along Highway 140E near Klamath Falls.  Troopers say a search revealed 296 pounds of cannabis was being carried inside newly-purchased furniture that had been loaded in the truck.  KOIN-TV reports Mason told troopers he was traveling from Ashland to Salt Lake City.
