Internet Hoax Overloads WA 911 System

(Lacey, WA)  --  An 18-year-old Washington man is facing charges, after being accused of involvement in an internet hoax that overloaded a 911 system in Thurston County.  Police in Lacey tell "The Olympian" the man was jailed on felony suspicion of electronic data service interference.  Investigators say the hoax resulted in Thurston Communications being flooded Tuesday night with non-emergency 911 calls.  Police say the 18-year-old confessed to receiving a link from a friend, testing it to see if it worked, then posting it on his Twitter page as a joke.
