(Portland, OR) -- Police say a crash involving a drunk driver was partially responsible for causing a power outage that affected nearly two-thousand customers in Clackamas and Multnomah counties. Authorities say the impaired driver sheared off a power pole at Southeast 82nd Avenue and Southeast Madison Street early yesterday morning. Another driver reportedly crashed into a power pole at Northeast 102nd Avenue and Northeast Tillamook Street, but left the scene before officers arrived. Portland General Electric crews worked throughout the day to get power restored.
