(Undated) -- A new report ranks Washington state's charter school system as being among the best in the nation. The National Association of Charter School Authorizers says Washington "is a national model for how to get charter school policies right." The report takes a number of factors into account, including standards for authorizing new schools, evaluations, sanctions, and performance reports. The report ranks Washington's charter school system in a tie for first place with Indiana and Nevada. Oregon was ranked 39th on the list.
