A new Zillow report finds a Portland homeowners spend just under 28-percent of their incomes to pay the mortgage. U.S. residents as a whole spend 20-percent of their incomes on monthly mortgage payments. Los Angeles mortgages are the least affordable, costing more than 46-percent of median income.
