(Damascus, OR) -- A Clackamas County Sheriff's Office K-9 is reported to be "doing well" after being hit with a pipe. Grimm was tracking down a suspect named Mario Reyes-Orozco on Tuesday on Southeast Sunnyside Road in Damascus. Reyes-Orozco was allegedly threatening family members with an ax when Grimm and other officers showed up. Grimm tried to take Reyes-Orozco down, but the suspect allegedly hit him repeatedly with a pipe before he was taken into custody. Grimm is reported to have gone for a light hike with his handler as part of his recovery.
