(Portland, OR)  --  One person is dead following a car crash east of the Broadway Bridge.  Police say the driver crashed into a utility pole near the intersection of North Broadway and North Benton Avenue yesterday afternoon.  The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and no other vehicles were involved.  Police say the victim was likely speeding.
