(Springfield, OR) -- A woman is under arrest for allegedly leaving her two kids in a hot vehicle at a store in Springfield. Around 3:30 yesterday afternoon, cops came out to a Walmart parking lot to see a seven-year-old and a five-year-old unattended in a parked vehicle in 89-degree heat. Store surveillance footage showed a total of 25-minutes had elapsed before Nikia Angelique Modrell came back to the car. Modrell was thrown in the Springfield Municipal Jail after being charged with two counts of second-degree child neglect and reckless endangering.
