Danielle Outlaw Becomes Portland's First Female Black Police Chief

(Portland, OR)  --  Portland has a new police chief.  Danielle Outlaw of the Oakland Police Department will step into the role by October 2nd.  She's Portland's first female African American police chief.  Outlaw has been with the Oakland Police Department for 19 years and has served as deputy police chief there since 2013.
