(Portland, OR)  --  A man is facing charges for allegedly stealing a car while wielding a hatchet.  Police arrested 46-year-old John Lewis for the incident Tuesday night in Northeast Portland.  Police say Lewis walked up to a car at Northeast 111th Avenue and Halsey Street and showed the driver a double-sided hatchet before demanding their car keys.  Police found him in the area of Northeast 109th Avenue and Hassalo Street and arrested him.

  • Nels Anderson Road between Nels Anderson Place and Brandis Court, single northbound shoulder closure will be in effect, two-way traffic to be maintained. Project completion expected December 2017.
