Nike Co-Founder Puts $500K Into Republican's Run For Governor

(Beaverton, OR)  --  Nike co-founder Phil Knight is putting a lot of money into the Oregon governor's race.  The billionaire donated a half-million dollars this week to the campaign of Republican Knute Buehler.  It's reportedly Knight's biggest donation ever to an Oregon political campaign.  He made the contribution on Monday, and it was reported in the state's database today.  The infusion of cash helps Buehler narrow the money gap between himself and Democrat incumbent Kate Brown, although she still has nearly a million dollars more in her war chest.
