(Portland, OR)  --  An air quality alert is in effect for the Portland area due to smoke from the Eagle Creek Fire.  Health officials say the alert will remain in effect until at least tonight.  The Environmental Protection Agency says Portland's air-quality index has been at 152 since early this morning.  That's considered in the unhealthy range.
