(Chelan County, WA) -- A sheriff's office in Washington is apologizing for posting a meme to Facebook showing protesters being hit by a car. The post published yesterday by the Chelan County Sheriff's Office shows stick figures being run down by a car with the text "All Lives Splatter." The sheriff's office says an employee posted the image to the Chelan County Emergency Management Facebook page by accident. Sheriff Brian Burnett issued a news release yesterday saying his staff feels terrible about the incident, calling the post inappropriate and hurtful. The incident comes just one day after police detained and then released a man for speeding aggressively through a crowd of anti-hate counter-protesters at a Patriot Prayer rally in Vancouver.
