Retired Military Man Allegedly Threatens Vegas-Style Shooting

(Kalama, WA)  --  Police say they arrested a retired military man in southern Washington after he allegedly threatened to commit a Las Vegas-style shooting at Joint Base Lewis McChord.  Police arrested 35-year-old Christopher Bleavins Wednesday following a high-speed pursuit from the base to Kalama in Cowlitz County, where he crashed into another car and was forced to stop.  No serious injuries were reported.  Police say Bleavins was not armed when they arrested him and that he suffers from PTSD.  He's being held without bail on charges of assault, hit-and-run, reckless endangerment and eluding police.
