(Bingen, WA)  --  Nearly 300 people are looking for new jobs after a fire destroyed a fruit plant in the Columbia Gorge community of Bingen.  Authorities say the fire broke out around 5:45 yesterday morning at the Underwood Fruit and Warehouse Company.  The flames demolished three pear warehouses at the plant.  No injuries have been reported, but officials at the plant say they've been forced to lay off all 270 of their workers for the foreseeable future.
