(Portland, OR)  --  Portland's Peacock Lane is now officially recognized as a historic site.  KATU reports the National Parks Service listed the Peacock Lane Historic District on its National Register of Historic Places late last week.  The street is known locally for its detailed Christmas light displays that have become a holiday tradition for many Portlanders.
