(Portland, OR) -- Trial is set to begin in June of 2019 for a man accused of stabbing two people to death on a Portland commuter train. Jeremy Christian is due to go before a jury more than two years after the alleged attack on a MAX train this year. Prosecutors told the judge Friday that they could be ready to go in October of next year, but defense lawyers wanted a later date. The deadly stabbing happened after Christian was confronted about anti-Muslim comments he allegedly made to two teenage girls on board the train.
