(Portland, OR) -- One man is dead following a deputy-involved shooting in Clackamas County. Police say deputies were trying to pull over 44-year-old Nathaniel Fritz Macalevy on Tuesday morning on a restraining order violation call when he sped off, leading police on a chase that ended at his home near Highway 212 and Southeast Church Road. Macalevy then allegedly exited his car wearing a vest and helmet and opened fire on the deputies, who fired back, killing him. Police say Macalevy had shown up at a woman's house with multiple weapons the night before.
