(Portland, OR) -- Governor Kate Brown says Oregon won't back down on legal marijuana following a federal move to ramp up enforcement against the drug. Brown held a press conference yesterday to address the announcement by Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Sessions announced yesterday that the Justice Department will rescind an Obama-era policy that eased enforcement of federal marijuana laws, known as the Cole Memorandum. Brown says Oregon will continue to move forward with implementing the Cole Memorandum. She adds that she has reached out to the state attorney general and that they are reviewing all legal options.
