(Portland, OR)  --  TriMet is bringing in extra security in an effort to tackle crime onboard its buses and trains.  Board members voted yesterday to move forward with a contract with private security firm Portland Patrol Incorporated.  TriMet spokeswoman Roberta Altstadt tells KATU they hope to bring in an additional 15 security officers by the end of the year and nearly 50 within three years.
