OLCC Triples Penalties For Pot Shops Selling To Minors

(Portland, OR)  --  State regulators are cracking down on marijuana retailers who sell their products to minors.  The Oregon Liquor Control Commission announced yesterday it's tripling the penalties for such sales from a ten-day license suspension or one-thousand-650-dollar fine to a 30-day suspension or four-thousand-950-dollar fine.  The temporary new rules go into effect today.  The move follows the commission's release of compliance reports two weeks ago showing that some recreational shops sold marijuana to people under 21-years-old.
