Kalama Man Accused Of Assaulting, Imprisoning Workers

(Kalama, WA)  --  A Kalama, Washington, man is facing charges after allegedly assaulting two workers at his home and then trying to lock them in a crawlspace.  Police arrested 23-year-old Shane Lewellen last week on charges of harassment, assault and unlawful imprisonment.  Police say two contracting workers were inside the crawlspace looking at the foundation of Lewellen's home when he assaulted the woman and pushed them both farther into the crawlspace.  Lewellen allegedly then tried to close the door on them while threatening to kill them, but they pushed their way through and escaped.  Arriving officers found a knife in Lewellen's possession.
