Lewis And Clark Bridge Reopens After Bomb Scare

(Rainier, OR)  --   The Lewis And Clark Bridge connecting Rainier, Oregon and Longview, Washington is open again following a bomb scare.  Police shut down the bridge for four hours yesterday after a man tied two backpacks to the bridge on the Oregon side.  Oregon State Police bomb technicians used robots to inspect the backpacks and didn't find any explosive devices.  Investigators say the backpacks contained clothing, switchblades and personal items.  Police have arrested 61-year-old Samuel Owen for the incident on charges of first-degree disorderly conduct and possession of a user quantity of methamphetamine.
