(Portland, OR)  --  A man is facing charges after allegedly breaking into a car and stealing a purse in Northwest Portland.  Police arrested 51-year-old Darren Brodine on Sunday in the area of Northwest 14th Avenue and Everett Street.  Police say the arresting officers were patrolling the area for potential car prowlers when they saw the man break into the car.
