(Portland, OR) -- Southwest Columbia Street is reopened following a bomb scare that shut down the area last night. Police responded to the area of Southwest Columbia Street and 3rd Avenue around 6:30 p.m. after someone reported seeing a suspicious object there. Police closed down Columbia between 2nd and 4th Avenues along with 3rd Avenue between Jefferson and Clay streets while they investigated. A bomb squad determined that the object was not dangerous.
