(Portland, OR) -- Portland appears to be one step closer to getting a Major League Baseball team. The Portland Diamond Project says it's made formal offers on two pieces of land in central Portland. The first location is near the Moda center at Portland Public Schools headquarters. The second is at an industrial manufacturing company. The group headed by former Nike executive Craig Cheek says its proposed stadium would seat 32-thousand people and would bring in ten-billion-dollars over 30 years.
