Man Gets Ten Years For Setting Another Man On Fire

(Portland, OR)  --  A man is spending ten years in prison for setting another man on fire inside a Happy Valley diner.  A judge sentenced 25-year-old DeShaun James Swanger yesterday after he pleaded guilty in court Monday.  Police say Swanger entered the Denny's restaurant across from the Clackamas Town Center last April and poured gasoline on a 69-year-old man he didn't know and then tossed a burning object at him.  The victim survived, and he tells KATU he thinks Swanger deserves a stiffer sentence than he's getting.
