(Portland, OR) -- An investigation is ongoing into a mental health crisis that led to a woman's death in Fairview. Police responded to a home in the 20600 block of Northeast Sandview Drive yesterday afternoon on reports of a woman acting strangely in the backyard while holding a handgun to her chest. Responding officers and crisis negotiators spoke with the woman for three and a half hours before she shot herself. First responders provided medical aid, but she died at the scene.
