Two County Administrators On Leave Over Health Care Complaints

(Portland, OR)  --  A pair of Multnomah County health officials are on leave over the county's handling of health care complaints.  OregonLive reports that David Hidalgo, director of Mental Health and Addiction Services, and quality manager Joan Rice are both on paid leave.  The county's chief operating officer says the actions came as a result of a review over serious complaints about the Unity Center for Behavioral Health being ignored.  The complaints include one from a woman whose claim of being sexually assaulted was brushed aside, then found to be true.  Documents show that at least 19 complaints about Unity have come in since the facility opened last year.
