(Portland, OR) -- New details are coming to light about a romance novelist accused of shooting her husband to death at the Oregon Culinary Institute in Portland. The Oregonian reports 68-year-old Nancy Crampton Brophy wrote an online essay in 2011 titled How to Murder Your Husband. Crampton Brophy mentions in the essay that she spends a lot of time thinking about murder and police procedure as part of her work as a romantic suspense writer.
