EPA Sued Over Ocean Acidification

(Portland, OR)  --  The Environmental Protection Agency is facing a lawsuit for failing to protect Oregon's environment.  The Oregonian reports that the Center for Biological Diversity filed papers in Portland alleging that the agency didn't put enough emphasis on the effect of fossil fuels on Oregon's ocean waters.  The suit contends that the use of fossil fuels has made the sea more acidic, which has killed off shellfish.  An attorney for the group says the Trump administration ignores the threat posed to the environment by fossil fuels.
