(Portland, OR) -- The city of Portland is awarding two grants to African-American owned cannabis businesses. The city's economic development agency, Prosper Portland, says the move is an effort to level the playing field and help bridge a "racially divided capital gap." Green Box, which is a subscription based marijuana delivery service, will receive 30-thousand dollars in grants. Green Hop, which is a retailer with an apprenticeship program for young African Americans, will get the same amount.
