Man Arrested On Charges Of Stalking Oregonian Newspaper Editor

(Portland, OR)  --  An Oregon man who was found guilty of harassing victims of the 2012 Colorado movie theater shooting is facing new charges after allegedly stalking the editor of The Oregonian.  Police say 51-year-old Kevin Purfield is being held in Multnomah County Jail on two-million dollars bail on felony charges of stalking and telephone harassment.  Police say the incidents occurred over the past few months.  A judge sentenced Purfield to probation in 2013 after he telephoned family members of the Colorado theater shooting victims and told them the shooting didn't happen and that nobody died.
