Amtrak Train Trapped By Weather Freed In Southwest Oregon

(Oakridge, OR)  --  The Amtrak train trapped by fallen trees in Oregon has been freed and should be headed back to Seattle shortly.  Crews sent by Union Pacific Railroad, which the train uses in Oregon, cut away fallen trees and plowed heavy snow from its tracks so the train could move.  The train left Seattle Sunday morning for California, but passengers had been stuck on the train since Sunday evening.  It should be back in Seattle by this evening.
