Oregon To Lead Lawsuit In Over Abortion Rule

(Salem, OR)  --  The state of Oregon will lead the charge in a national lawsuit against a new rule from the Trump administration involving abortions.  The so-called "gag rule" prevents family planning clinics funded through Title Ten from referring patients for the procedure.  Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum argues that same funding is used to provide numerous other health-related services that don't involve abortions, including access to contraception, breast and cervical cancer screenings, and STI testing.  Twenty-one state attorneys general have joined in the lawsuit with Oregon.
