Providence To Begin Heart Transplant Program Thanks To Donation From Phil Knight

(Portland, OR)  --  Providence Health and Services will begin work to create a heart transplant program thanks to a generous donation from Phil Knight and his wife, Penny.  The Nike co-founder has given 75-million dollars to the hospital network for the endeavor.  The money will also be used to help reactivate the heart transplant program at Oregon Health and Science University.  The Knights previously donated 25-million dollars to Providence in 2014 as part of a 50-million-dollar fundraising campaign.
