Today Marks One Year Since Discovery Of Hart Family SUV

(Portland, OR)  --  Today marks one year since the discovery of the wreckage of an embattled former Oregon family's SUV at the bottom of a coastal cliff in California.  A tourist called 9-1-1 a year ago today after spotting the Hart family's vehicle in Mendocino County.  Police say Jennifer Hart was drunk when she crashed the family's SUV off a cliff last March, killing her partner Sarah and at least five of their six adopted children.  Toxicology reports also showed a significant amount of Benadryl in the systems of Sarah Hart and two of the children.  Fifteen-year-old Devonte Hart remains missing, but investigators say they have reason to believe he was inside the SUV at the time of the crash.  Jennifer and Sarah Hart were being investigated for child abuse and neglect in Minnesota and Texas before they moved to Oregon and later Washington state.
