Oregon Senate Passes Bill To Make Permanent Shift To Daylight Saving Time

(Salem, OR)  --  Legislation to keep Oregon on daylight saving time permanently is one step closer to becoming law.  The State Senate voted 23-to-four to abolish the annual time change, keeping most of Oregon on the same clock year round.  Under the bill, areas of eastern Oregon that are in the Mountain Time Zone would be exempt.  Governor Kate Brown said she'd support the change if the bill makes it to her desk.
