(Bronx, NY)  --  A college student from Portland is dead after falling from a bell tower at Fordham University in New York.  Students packed the University church in the Bronx Sunday night to pray for the family of 22-year-old Sydney Monfries.  Police say she was with a group of students early Sunday morning who decided to climb a bell tower to get a view of the city skyline.  Monfries somehow fell 30 or 40 feet inside the structure.  Emergency crews rushed her to St. Barnabas Hospital where she later died.  Authorities are trying to figure out how the students were able to get access to the bell tower.
