Woman Rescued From South Umpqua River

(Roseburg, OR)  --  A woman is recovering after being rescued by emergency crews from the South Umpqua River in Roseburg.  The city's fire department was called Sunday evening for a water rescue in the river at Stewart Park.  Three witnesses reported hearing the woman screaming for help.  Firefighters were able to get her out of the water using rope bags.  She was taken to a hospital for treatment.  It's unclear how she ended up in the river.
